Job Description
  • Support the full fraud rule lifecycle, from proposal and analysis through testing, deployment, monitoring, tuning, and rollback.
  • Work in or alongside decisioning tools and rule engines that drive fraud detection logic.
  • Analyze fraud patterns, alert trends, false positives, false negatives, and rule performance.
  • Turn FraudOps insights and stakeholder requests into clear, structured rule proposals.
  • Use data to assess whether new rules or threshold changes are justified.
  • Monitor rules after deployment and identify when they need adjustment.
  • Handle daily fraud-control requests while keeping changes traceable and well documented.
  • Work with FraudOps, AML, Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Legal to keep decisioning changes aligned and risk-aware.
  • Maintain documentation covering rule rationale, expected impact, test outcomes, and monitoring results.
  • Reduce single points of failure by building repeatable processes and business continuity plans.
Requirements
  • Experience as a fraud, risk, fraud strategy, fraud rules, decisioning, or similar analyst.
  • Hands-on experience with a decisioning tool, fraud rules engine, risk platform, or internal decisioning system.
  • Experience creating, testing, monitoring, or tuning fraud rules, thresholds, scenarios, or risk logic.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to assess rule performance and fraud patterns.
  • Good understanding of fraud typologies, especially card, transaction, account misuse, or payment fraud.
  • Ability to balance fraud prevention against customer impact and operational workload.
  • Experience with false positives and an understanding that fraud controls need continuous tuning.
  • Strong written communication for explaining rule logic, rationale, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with FraudOps, Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Data.
  • A structured mindset with appreciation for documentation, traceability, governance, and change control.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, payments, spend management, or regulated financial services.
  • SQL or basic data analysis skills.
  • Must be physically based in one of the listed countries with a valid right to work; no visa sponsorship.
