Senior leadership role open to Kenyan nationals only.
Develop and communicate the Kenya strategy and contribute to regional strategy
Lead country planning, build partnerships and secure funding
Promote trust, transparency, diversity, equity and inclusion, and model ethical conduct and the Code of Conduct
Recruit, manage and develop staff, and maintain HR systems consistent with global policies
Oversee program quality, impact measurement, learning and compliance with program standards, gender policy and accountability mechanisms
Engage donors, governments, UN bodies and the private sector
Represent Kenya and the Horn of Africa in regional forums and media
Manage the country budget, cash flow and reporting
Maintain operational structures and ensure compliance with donor and internal regulations
Oversee staff and asset security, maintain the country security plan and coordinate with regional security leads

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field required; master's preferred
At least 10 years of field experience in international relief and development, including managing large, complex programs
At least 7 years of senior leadership, capacity building and field management experience
Experience leading multicultural teams across multiple offices
Proven success securing funding from diverse donors and managing grants from donors such as USAID and FCDO
Strong representation, negotiation and communication skills with government, donors and partners
Experience managing programs in insecure locations and responding to emergencies
Internationally recognized project or program management qualification, or commitment to obtain one early in the role
Excellent written and spoken English
