Job Description
Lead the school's launch and build its academic culture, systems, policies and traditions with the Board
Deliver a rigorous, highly selective curriculum emphasising STEM, research, writing, critical thinking and university preparation
Identify and recruit academically gifted students from disadvantaged backgrounds through partnerships with local junior secondary schools and communities
Recruit, mentor and manage teachers and school leaders
Oversee student welfare, safeguarding, pastoral care and residential life
Build relationships with parents, communities and stakeholders with service central to the school culture
Oversee operations, finances, compliance and campus development including agriculture, food production and conservation across the 41-acre site
Form partnerships with universities, research organisations and other institutions to create student pathways
Requirements
First-class honours bachelor's degree in a STEM field from a recognised university; master's or PhD in STEM education is an advantage
At least five years of leadership in a high-performing secondary school or similar academic institution
Record of strong academic results especially in STEM and preparing students for competitive university admission
Experience in student recruitment, outreach and talent identification
Experience in curriculum leadership, teacher development, operations, safeguarding and stakeholder engagement, including building systems from the ground up
Strong leadership, strategic planning and communication skills, high integrity and commitment to educational access, community development, agriculture and conservation
