Set up, monitor and evaluate cut flower trials in the Vase Life Room and Controlled Atmosphere facilities following research protocols
Record trial observations, collect data and maintain photographic records
Create experiments and analyze trial data in PlantScout and write technical reports
Schedule trials with Technical Consultants and maintain a trial planner
Arrange flower sample collection from farms and other locations and ensure materials and equipment are ready
Monitor lab equipment including nitrogen and oxygen gauges and cooling systems and report faults
Maintain research records, lab safety and cleanliness and support customer visits and demonstrations

Diploma or bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant/Crop Science, Agriculture, Biological Sciences or related field
Preferably 3 years of experience in horticulture, floriculture, agricultural research, lab work or crop trials
Cut flower handling, post-harvest research or vase life testing experience is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong analytical, observation and report-writing skills with attention to detail
Good organization, communication and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple trials
