PeopleCert is seeking an experienced, passionate, and qualified Greek Language Teacher to join our team in Istanbul, supporting a newly established ESG initiative aimed at raising Greek language proficiency for students of Greek origin in Istanbul.
Plan and deliver interactive, engaging lessons for a variety of age groups and proficiency levels
Design activities and work with materials that promote communicative and authentic language use
Assess student needs and learning styles to tailor instruction accordingly
Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress through regular assessments, quizzes, and feedback sessions
Prepare students for international Greek language certification exams, including practice tests and exam strategies
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and development
Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain regular communication with learners and parents
Collaborate with colleagues from PEOPLECERT to fine-tune curriculum materials and share best practices
Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events

A BA degree in Greek Literature, Philology, Linguistics, Education, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in classes for young learners
Native Greek speaker
Familiarity with the CEFR framework and standardized test preparation
Eligibility to live and work in Turkey is required
Availability to work physically in Taksim, in the Beyoğlu district, from 2 PM to 8 PM (Monday to Friday)
Desirable: Experience teaching different age groups (young learners, teens)
Desirable: Strong communication and organizational skills
Desirable: Familiarity with digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced teaching.
